Proposed Cell Tower in Wantagh
WANTAGH CITIZENS: WE MUST ACT NOW AS A COMMUNITY TO STOP THE INSTALLATION OF DANGEROUS CELL ANTENNAS IN OUR RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOODS.
WHY?
Our health and our property values are at risk This isn’t someone else’s problem- this is your problem.
The cell companies must place the towers in a responsible manner not in residential neighborhoods.
Today it’s our block, tomorrow it will be yours. Next G is looking to put antennas on over 298,000 utility poles in Nassau alone. Do you have a pole in front of your house? You are the next target.
It is a FACT:
Property Values will decrease a minimum of 6% with the installation of cell antennas in your neighborhood.
There are over 24 towers and 194 antennae within 4 miles of Wantagh Woods. We don’t need more. Cell providers can rent space from existing antennas. The Cell companies are greedy.
The Cell companies want us to pay for the installation of 298,000 new poles at the cost of $4000-$6000 each so they can make a profit.
The antenna and poles are unsightly. The character of our neighborhoods will be forever changed.
It is a FACT:
There is a direct link between childhood leukemia and cell phone towers according to the Official Journal of American Academy of Pediatrics.
Look at the nightmare in Bayville. They have a federal case regarding 50 antennas near a school. The cancer rate jumped over 300% since their installation INCLUDING THREE CHILDREN’S DEATH. www.dontcellout.com
President Obama has set up a Federal Investigative Panel to research the link between cancer and cell towers. The threat is real.
The reports showing that the link between cancer and cell towers is inconclusive are all commissioned by the cell phone companies. There are numerous studies that are CONCLUSIVE by independent scientists. See www.dontcellout.com
The International Firefighters Association opposes cell towers on stations because of health risks.
Other countries and states prohibit cell towers and antenna near schools and homes.
Nassau legislators are working to limit the antennas in neighborhoods but it will be too late for us!
